The flat profile

The peaked profile
One index is significantly higher (15+ points) than the others. Common patterns include:
High VCI, lower PSI: common in verbally gifted individuals with slower processing — often seen in academics, writers, lawyers.
High PRI/FRI, lower VCI: common in visual-spatial thinkers, engineers, artists — sometimes seen in non-native speakers or individuals with language difficulties.
High WMI, lower PSI: strong working memory but slow processing — may indicate perfectionism or anxiety rather than true processing speed deficit.
The depressed profile
One index is significantly lower (15+ points) than others. Clinical significance:
Low PSI: may indicate processing speed deficit — common in ADHD, depression, traumatic brain injury, multiple sclerosis, or early dementia.
Low WMI: may indicate working memory deficit — common in ADHD, learning disabilities, anxiety, or attention disorders.
